    You're very brave to work with silk! Gorgeous quilt! I bought my DM some silk material when I was visiting in England from Harrod's before I knew how horrible it was to work with it and she still hasn't made anything from the fabrics yet. She's thinking of a Crazy Quilt sometime!

    Good grief! A major undertaking there! Like you, I think the shiny/matte contrast is great. The end result is fantastic, but I sure know what you mean about problem fabrics.

    DKA, I have used silk in crazy blocks with a lot less trouble than this was :shock: :lol: but I did iron on a very fine interfacing first... :-D

    Oooolala!! You are either very brave or just plain crazy Kathyrn! Whichever, you won out and the result is just beautiful! The fray check will be a godsend to you next time around. You might want to douse those seam allowances on this one before you handle it too much more getting it ready for quilting. I'm excited to see what you dream up for that!
