    Default Cardinal Placemats

I've been working on a set of 4 placemats for my mom for her birthday in about a week. Tonight I realized that I was running out of time before leaving to go visit her and other things need to get done so I decided to finish the binding by sewing it on the machine instead of doing the final part by hand (my preference). I think it turned out decent and it's probably more secure for placemats that will get washed more than a quilt. Plus, they are done!

Here's the front and the back. The inset piece on the front is paper pieced.

Very nice placemats, like the design that to me looks like a braid.
