    my sister made the same pattern for our mom this year I'm jealous. She could've made two. Love it.

    What a lovely idea. I'm going to make something like that for my
    favorite sister's next birthday. And the bird theme will fit in nicely.

    Especially since her birth name was Vivian Blue Byrd!!!!

    I'll make the blue bird and have different colors of pink (she's made
    about pink!!) around it.

    Oh my!!! My mother would have loved to have recieved this quilt. She just loved the cardinal.

    You have done a stupendous job on it. I wish I could be there to see how she reacts.

    This is so crisp and nice. I thank you for sharing but also for reminding me that I have a bunch of Cardinal blocks made and tucked away someplace. Will have to dig them out, apply a 9 patch like you've done and make the cardinals DONE instead of IN HIDING. :D
