    Ducky,
    You are so getting this DOWN! I love the little birds. They are so comical. I think using a pine cone batik would be perfect on these. I used it on a runner and I loved it. A dark green with lighter green accents of boughs and pinecones.

    Oh I forgot to say ... Don't you just love the song/call they sing? It sounds like they are saying, "Pretty, pretty...."

    The pine cone batik is a great idea! I think I'll emboider a few more of the cardinals because I found out that I drew my brother and his wife's names for Christmas. Maybe a throw? There are some cute designs of the same cardinals building a snowman and also decorating a tree.

    Ducky, those are so cute! My late mother also loved the cardinal, but I don't recall ever seeing them here in MN...blue jays, yes, almost any time of the year...but no cardinals :( .

    I walk in a park most mornings in good weather and you can usually see the cardinals around 8:00 in the AM. When it gets around 10 or 11 they tend to disapear for some reason.
