I finally finished my batik Carpenter Star for a daughter's birthday. The pattern is from the Four Hour Quilt site, though I used eight colors instead of two. The colors photographed more pink than they are. The border is a braid with the extra strips on the back. I know the outside border and binding are very light, but the pale peach/pink batik suited this daughter. I certainly didn't want the quilt looking like it belonged to her brother.

Pieced and FMQ on my 1956 Singer 301. Batting - Hobbs Polydown. Not as soft as I'd like.

    I like this Pattern!

You have made a beautiful quilt. I love the additional colors and the braid border is extra nice.
