Beautiful quilt and yes it is very rewarding to gift a quilt to someone who really appreciates it.
I would love to make this quilt for my bed does the pattern go up to king size?

You can make this any size you want! It's really a simple pattern to do.

Gorgeous !! Carpenter's Star is my next project. I am half thru working on a Hunter's Star quilt - just adding the borders etc. & then I can get on with the quilting. It is for my DD for Christmas. She's pretty fussy so I do hope she likes it. I can only hope that my Carpenter's Star could even come close to yours - it is truly beautiful.

When I saw this I thought about making in colors to go with dining room and making like a pillow case for the back of chairs. It is really pretty and you did wonderful work.
