    Default Castle Quilt

I finished my DGD's castle quilt, based on her original drawing (she's almost 6) and consulting with her on the roses she wanted on the outer border, the horse, the towers, the colors, etc. etc. The only thing is all the blue you see is really purple (I had instructions that it should be mainly pink and purple)--I don't know why my camera will not photograph purple.
I'm posting her original drawing and the quilt, and a couple of close-ups. I'm finally able to do a bit of FMQ--slowly getting there with that.

I love it! I have thought of doing the same with a picture my GD drew and it has a lot of detail. Your GD will love it forever.

It is beautiful! She designed just what she wanted and you turned it into a perfect quilt. Bet she will be telling everyone how her grandma made her drawing into a quilt. Good going grandma!!!!
