Is that your dd in your avatar? What a good idea to make mug rugs for hospital patients. Anything to make our loved ones feel better. Praying she makes a full recovery quickly!

Too cute. I hope that it helped to brighten her hospital stay.

Yes, that is her. She is 14 years old. She has either Chrones or ulcerative colitis...neither is curable, just treatable. So she will have this forever and I am just praying that it isn't going so bad for her. We meet a girl at the hospital that had lots of trouble and missed a whole year of school. She had a rough time. Each person is different so only time will tell.

I also have ulcerative colitis, for about 35 years now, but I didn't start as young as your daughter. There can be some pretty rough times. There have been a couple of college hockey players here in MN that have had to deal with it. I really hope she gets some relief from it.

I never heard of it until they said she might have it. I just heard of another guy in our very small town having it and a girl she will be going to school with next year has it too.

I started having symptoms when I lived in Wisconsin, where I grew up. I was about 26 years old. My father had it, too. For the last 5 or 6 years, my tests look like I never had it. It's been a real relief. I hope your daughter finds what works for her. I don't know if there have been any new treatments lately. I'm pulling for her.
