Wow Eddie - that's beautiful! Did you make the units by machine and hand sew the windows, or did you machine sew the windows down too? This is fairly near the top of my to do list! Might have even moved up a notch or two - I just got a couple of cushion innards for the cushions on our sofa as the old ones are saggy and awful plus the covers are just one piece of fabric (missed opportunity!!!!) I might make new covers like this! :D

I love it! I've always admired Cathedral Windows quilts.

The pattern I used said to sew on the curved edge of the rolled fabric next to the "glass" fabric, which is what I did.

I started it Monday night and finished is last night (Wednesday), so worked on it a few hours each night. I think it probably took about 5-6 hours to make the cathedral window block, and then another couple of hours to do the border, lining, and backing.

You are really amazing. I've not tried cathedral windows yet because I remember my mother telling me, long ago, that they are difficult to do. But you say they are not? Hmmm. I do need to try them.
I was kind of afraid to try this as well, because it just looked hard. I had to read and reread the instructions several times before it finally clicked in my head how these things were constructed. But it really is quite easy once you get the flow down. I did the blocks assembly line fashion, chain piecing them, turning them, pressing, etc., which seemed to make it go faster.
