    I have been working on this Cathedral Window quilt for a while so now i am finish with the top it is for a queen size and YES it is heavy i think i am not putting batting between it just a backing it is just to heavy or put some between it and only use it for the winter. who know s i will figure it out but here it is

    Beautiful colorful quilt! Yes, CW quilts are heavy, but great for the winters. I'm starting on mine this fall!

    You don't put a back on a CW. It is finished when all the blocks are sewn together. If you use batting it goes under the small square in the middle. The reason it is so heavy is because of all the layers folded together

    When you do Cathedral window you do not put batting or backing. When you finish your top, your quilt is done.
