Very pretty! I was an elementary teacher for 33 years. If I had gotten one of those upon retirement, I would have treasured it. She'll love it. You did great!

Very nice quilt and so appropriate. On a different thought, in the Moore Tornado here, the teachers at two elementary schools lost all their teaching materials (room decorations, ideas etc.) and were asking for donations from retired teachers to replenish their materials. If this iwoman would be interested, I would look into where she could send them, or as I see you are in Texas, and perhaps someone traveling your way could pick them up. Just a thought.

What a lovely and talented person you are for creating this work of art and giving it to your friend.

Wonderful gift, especially the signatures. I am a retired teacher too; Geology and German. I remember making my N's like that when in elementary school...one room schoolhouse with a total of 22 kids in all 8 grades and 1 teacher. She used to spank me when I made my "N's" backwards. Ahhh memories!
