This shows a closeup of the border. It's made by piecing, and it's not true prairie points. Think of the white fabric as setting triangles. I made them by cutting squares diagonally in both directions, so the part that would wind up on the edge would be straight grain, not bias. I attached the white triangles to the end of 30's fabric rectangles, then sewed them together keeping the bottom of the white fabric aligned. At this point the top fabric was jagged, but I cut it off in a straight line. It was a bit of a tricky mess and I probably won't do it again, but I like the way it turned out.
