Here are my challenge blocks. They are all autographed by the maker. The other picture is the fabric I got for sashing, a border and the backing. Now I can't decide whether to do the sashing or not. If I put a border around I feel that I need the sashing to tie in the border. What do you think?

sashing will not only tie it to the border, it will let you avoid trying to perfectly join all those star points.

you might want to consider getting a darkish fabric that picks up one of the colors in the border/backing fabric to use for sashing. it will make the blocks pop more.

What if I do the sashing with the fabric shown then a smallish border in a darker color and then a larger border of the sashing fabric. I could then do the binding in the dark fabric also. What do you think?

my advice is take patrice's advice.

matching those points can be so hard to do. why take the chance on spoiling something so pretty?
