It is very nice! May I copy your idea of half-square triangles as a large border? I would like to use that in my charity quilts because we make large blocks rather than like your corner blocks being detailed with several pieces in each block. I never thought about joining HSTs sideway to form a diamond effect. Clever! I know whomever gets your quilt will love it.

I'm a quilter and I'd take it without a doubt. That is so beautiful. The colors and pattern are fantastic. If you give it to someone as a gifts that quilts I think you would be surprised in their reaction. It's great! It's not too busy and it certainly isn't boring. Ease up on yourself; you did a great job. If it were mine, I would keep it for myself and enjoy how pretty it is.
