Charity butterfly quilt
I bought this kit from Craftsy when it was half priced during the Covid peak. It included 6 charm packs of metallic prints, a yd. of fabric for the binding and 3 yds. of backing for under $40. The directions used a 7 x 8 layout but since there were enough charms to make a 7 x 9 layout, that is what I did. The extra binding fabric was used across the backing to accommodate the extra length. Once it was together however, it was too busy and chaotic, so I added the black sashing from my stash. I quilted it with a stencil in each block and did a stitch in the ditch on both sides of the sashing strips. It measures approx. 68" x 82".
