    That is a really neat method. I really like the one you have in the photo. Looks awesome! How thoughtful you are to make her one.

    The outside corners are sewn separately, added and quilted later. The first few I made, I merely added the cut off triangles back, but I decided I liked it better this way.
    I was mistaken. The manager had selected a 95 year old artist to receive this quilt, which is my quilt # 510. I trust the manager (a friend) to give each quilt where there is the greatest need. Someone else, who was in the office when I delivered the quilt, turned out to be a fan of my work. She had just had lunch at a restaurant that has commissioned several of my quilts and has them displayed.

    Thanks for this idea. It will make a great quilt to practice quilting on my Sweet Sixteen with all that open area. Love the way the borders bring out the main fabric colors. Thanks again.

    So far as I know, this pattern isn't done by anyone but me, which is a shame because it works really well. I have made several for foster kids using colorful fishy fabrics.
