I was using a charm pack this past week and did not realize they were not reliable in size - until I found something not matching. Figured out which ones were 1/2" too big and just took those to my Accuquilt Baby and cut them the right size. Since I have trouble cutting accurately, I like precut charms and jelly rolls.

    Default Precut fabric

I use precuts often, a few layer cakes , mostly charms.

I had a package of 2.5" strips where the width was between 2" and 3" -- I was told that they were hand cut and I should trim them to the same size if it bothered me. I have also had strips that were pieced -- sometimes with two different fabrics. I'd rather buy fabric and cut my own.
