The charm quilt I made for Peyton ( in my avatar) is back from quilters. Here is the picture.. any color suggestions on binding? He put the backing on sideways ;(( was so dissapointed when I got home and looked at it. I also asked for small stipple.. but hey i am not going to cry over spilt milk. Peyton will love it.

I think I would go for the blue that is in the quilt, or black - I really like your quilt. You can hardly get anyone to do what you ask any more, they think they know better. However, that did not make your quilt ugly at all, it is great.

nice quilt, I'm sure she'll love it, next time be very specific on your instructions and get a copy of what was written down, you may be ok with the mistake this time but next time it may be important to have it your way!

I LOVE the quilt, and I love the backing.....I like the blue or the black for binding as well. But I am shocked they would put the back on sideways. Isn't it rather obvious which was it should face? Yikes. But, Peyton is going to love it anyway, it turned out beautifully!

I had used him for 3 years and NEVER had a problem at all.. but I have started about one year ago using a gal who is close to me and she does gorgeous work...and delivers and I usually tell her do what she wants although I pick the thread color and she is perfect each time. This was definately a blip ;(>> I had the conversation with his daughter , who helps him. and she wrote it down. I called him and he was testy with me about it.. and said what do you want me to do about it? I said nothing since what could you do now? just wanted him to know it happened. He had a very sore back yesterday when I was there and had been on pain meds..maybe was just not clear . ;( oh well . glad it is for peyton and not my customer last week.

Yeah considering I had it sandwiched together right to start with and yes when you look at that pattern it would SEEM obvious ;)>.

Really pretty quilt. I might go with a bright yellow binding.

I just sent steve a picture of it so he could see the backing sideways and told him I would label it in future it seemed obvious and I did give it to this daughter the right way. :( it is buggin me.;( I worked hard on it. Get over it.LOL

Wow, made a mistake and then gave pitiful customer service. He's not going to keep his customers for long doing business like that. It's hard to believe he put that backing on sideways. The design on the fabric is pretty obvious as far as which way it's supposed to set.

It's a beautiful quilt regardless though! Peyton will love it and won't think twice about the mistakes that you see. She's going to be way to busy looking at all those cute charm squares! Great job!
