Cheaper by the Dozen - quilt for mother

The scallop on the binding was my work - not the quilter. I simply rebel against hand sewing that binding. Maybe when I'm old enough I will like it? (That's what I always told my kids when they didn't want to do something or eat something - they just weren't old enough.) I was doing that scallop on quilts I machine quilted and thought that for this particular quilt it was a good match for the LA quilter's work. I had that binding on there, pinned, ready to hand sew it down, and ... couldn't do it - stuffed it in my little Brother machine and put the pedal to the metal! :)
Pink isn't my favorite either, but my mom has been on her own for ... almost 30 years. My dad died in 1982. Her house is definately girly-girl - down to the pink tulips on her kitchen wallpaper! So this had to be pink and had to be floral.
Thanks for all the kind words. In most things I make I think ... this is nice, but .... a pucker here, .... something. This one? I'm just proud of it!
