    Great idea for practice. Your doing awesome!!! I was playing around today with different feathers, but I used plain fabric. I have a disappearing marker that I use for drawing on the fabric to design first before I quilt it.

    I use one of those markers also, to mark the veins and then freehand the feathers , oh I mark the hearts also. Trying really hard not to mark too much.
