    You can buy replacement foot controls so as to not further damage the original.

    Boy, did you luck out, or what! Mine is well-used too and has scratches, bare places, but she still sings anyhow, yours will too. And a table to boot, they are pretty scarce so you are doubly blessed. Enjoy!

    You are really fortunate. The table is quite rare and it would be wise not to alter it other than to use lemon oil on the legs and edges. It is a real find.
