    I realy need to finish this, and some day i will. I want to border the star but dont want to take away from it

    Have you seen a broken star pattern? It has a second layer around the center star, usually in the same or similar colors, with a break in between.

    Nice star!

    You could do a thin border in one of the medium colors, or a flange, piping or similar, then use the same background color for the triangles. It would be like framing a picture - enhance it, but not too distracting.

    I like to square them out using the background fabric. Then I put a 1" border and a larger border. You can repeat colors you have in the star, the less bright ones. it is gorgeous
