Cherry Surprise quilt
#13
The cherry quilt is awesome. I hand quilt and I use masking tape instead of painter's tape. Painter's tape won't stick to my cloth. As for how to quilt, I would quilt the grid like you suggested, in white. It will look cool on the cherries in the back, kind of make the fabric look like a plaid. Good luck!

Lisa--you are going to have so much fun quilting this happy quilt!! It is just fabulous! I love each and every block you made--and the back is such a fun surprise! I have NO suggestions for how to quilt it---any thing that big would just go out to a long arm quilter for me. Whatever you decide will be wonderful, I am sure. Be sure to post a picture again when you are finished with it.

Thanks everyone! I keep just grinning all the time now because I'm so happy this quilt is MINE. And DONE. Well, sort of done. (So keep your greedy mitts off, mountain moma! Haha!)
I started it almost five years ago and kept putting it away. Then I would take it out every once in a while and work on it, but with 2 little kids and a full time job, there wasn't much time for quilting. Now that I'm a SAHM, I could finally finish it! I have made other quilts in that time, but this one was just hard to "birth" for me.
Thank you, purplemem for your suggestion about the tape and thread color. You are right, the blue tape wouldn't stick to fabric. Doh!
