That is so cute. All my quilts turn out bigger than I meant them to be. It's meant to be.

How clever you are, I love it. I've never done a reversible quilt but I think you're right on about the grid. You could do around the squares on the outer few rows and then switch to the grid for the center part. I'm quilting a queen size quilt now and they do take time. Show us when you're done.

I have another cherry quilt in the works. I had made 48 cherry applique squares originally, thinking to set them 6 x 8, so I have 18 left after making this quilt. I have a setting block in mind for them, but don't know when I'll get to it. My friend that I showed that design to said she will like it better than this one, so we'll see. I'll have to take a vote when they are both done.
Lisa--that is a great way to enlarge a pattern when you are doing it free-handed. Thanks for sharing that tip.

I keep coming back to this thread to look at your quilt--it makes me happy!! I am tickled to read that you are making ANOTHER cherry quilt!!!! I cannot wait to see it, too. Please to not wait another 5 years to "birth" this one!!!!

I keep coming back to your quilt too. It is so pretty. I love it, it's a happy quilt, not fussy, it brings a smile to your face. I'm eager to see the next one.

Oh how very precious your cherry quilt turned out. I love it.

I still would echo quilt around the cherries on the front. along with the stitch in the ditch atound the squares. The back is after all the back right?
I love the idea of the little cherry border done in a color contrasting the white.
