    This is a great quilt. I'm not sure what optical illusion you are referring to, but I like the way the baptist fan design seems to soften the chevron design. I many times feel that a chevron design is very jarring to look at.
    You did a fine job on the quilting by the way.

    I was thinking the same thing! If I were quilting that I am not sure it is a pattern that I would have chosen, but you made me look at it in a different way.

    I would consider it a Classic quilting motif, but now I am thinking I would also like it on a modern quilt. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

    It's lovely! The Baptist fan quilting adds a lot of interesting movement--I think you did great!
