    Yes, I did get it at Wal-Mart, and when I was there before Easter I noticed they still had a bolt. Have you checked at their online site?

    Thanks for all the nice comments from everyone.

    When I decided to quilt the red sides to look like chicken wire, I googled "wire fencing", printed out a page of what I wanted and thru trial and error discovered the best way to draw it on the placemats. I deliberately ended it above the bottom because I wanted the gap....though the gap differs somewhat placemat to placemat. I used thin slivers of soap first and then chalk to mark the wire fence pattern. Not perfect, but then I didn't manage to quilt it perfectly either! Kind of fun! I'm glad they are done, though.

    Thanks! I think they would be cute with black, yellow, or red--or a mix--of breakfast dishes --bowls, plates, mugs. These aren't my colors but I may get some anyway.

    Love them! You did a great job, the chicken wire looks great, the wonky look gives it great character.
