My grandmother did chicken scratch some good 60 years ago and left some to me to one day make a dress for my grandchild. I have the chicken srcatch material and I now have a granddaughter. I wish my grandmother could be here now to see this gift she sent through time. Your quilt brought back many happy memories. It's so pretty.

    Your quilt is very nice.
I have not any chicken scratch in over 30 years. Was not my cup of tea.

I have A table cloth with that same pattern, I'd say mine is about 35 years old, made of gingham of course, and washes beautifully. I put the squre cloth on my round table with a long white skirt... still looks lovely.

    and gets many compliments. jacie

What a beautiful quilt. Lots of stitching there. I did some chicken scratch maybe 30 years ago, but not anything so big as a quilt. Just aprons, pillows and such. I will have to find some good gingham and have a go at a quilt. Thanks for sharing this.

    Default Chicken Scratch

I have done chicken scratch on a much smaller scale. It was years ago and I loved it. I admire you for doing this on such a big scale. Your quilt is lovely. Thanks for showing it to us.
