You've heard of "a house divided" when it comes to sports teams. A grandmother bought for the fabric for me to handquilt this quilt for her soon-to-be-born granddaughter. I quilted a border of interlocking hearts and scattered some hearts around the center. The ruffle helps make it a little more "girlie". The mother is an LSU fan and the father an FSU fan. Poor baby! Hope she doesn't grow up too comfused. :-) Being an FSU fan myself, I hope she keeps that side closest to her heart! I also made her a doll quilt from the scraps.

Little doll quilt made from the scraps.

Especially their football! Yes, he was a man to be admired. I appreciate his values and it carried over into his coaching.

    Oh how unique!!
... can picture the parents flipping the quilt from side to side all day long, so their favourite is showing? or would that be with their favourite team next to DD?
And what a good thought and plan by Grandma!

Cute that you did doll sampler to go with it! :)

MarthaT ... I started a thread asking about a ruffled edge around a quilt ... and here you are showing up with one!!! Could you please take a look at the thread?? and perhaps add some tips and hints as our Resident Ruffle Expert!!! :)
