Just for your information, I find that a raffle earns more $$$$ than an auction. Most people can't afford what a quilt is worth. But, they will spend five or ten dollars for tickets. If you get enough people spending the five or ten dollars, it adds up. Just my experience from doing quilts for Airedale rescue.

By the way, I visited the Ouachita Airedale breeder in DeQueen several years ago.
That's a good suggestion for future reference. I wonder how one could go about doing a raffle on the internet? Or if that's prohibited in some states?

Next time you're in DeQueen, drive up to Mena. Quilters are welcome here!

A raffle is prohibited on the internet now. You can do a fundraiser that is donation based. Once you donate a specific amount, you become eligible for a door prize. For instance, if you donate $5.00 you are eligible for the door price once, if you donate $10.00 you are eligible twice (or whatever amount you determine). You specify when the door prize will be drawn.

The breeder I went to is in Mena, I don't know why DeQueen stuck in my mind.

Very good suggestions, Kathy. I will contact you for more details when the opportunity arises.

Well, since you already know how to find Mena, you'll just have to come to my place for coffee & quilting.
