    All your hunting and gathering sure paid off! It's a lovely quilt, and your mother-in-law will undoubtedly love it. The backing fabric is gorgeous!

    Thanks girls, so much! I bought that backing fabric at a quilter's estate sale a couple years ago. I got all 7 yards of it because I LOVE bird of paradise and orchids. ( I also lived in florida when I was really little.) It was in my stash! It has a really nice hand to it. I originally thought I would make myself a dress, but, I don't dress up much anymore, so here it is. LOL..

    ok you got me. The title Christmas flamingo's really set my imagination a going, I certainly wondered what I was going to see. Much to my surprise I see this lovely quilt. I love the soothing colors. I know she will adore it.
