Default Christmas Gift for my dad - hope he likes it - barnyard

What do you give an 83 year old man who doesn't need anything? I took a picture of my dad's barnyard and made this 30 x 22 wall hanging. I've added the picture of the barnyard, too. The second and third pictures are the before and after shots of the applique process.

Hope he likes it! I'm having a hard time parting with it since this is where I grew up!

That is beautiful. He will love it. He will love it more if you volunteer to hang it. You should make yourself one, too.

What a wonderful idea! My father is retired from farming and would love that too.

He won't just like it; he'll love it, especially knowing that you loved the place where you grew up. There's no place like home. And the quilting is great; just brings the details to life.
