    Thank you for all of your kind words. My mom really loved it when she saw it yesterday, and it looks great on her bed.

    This quilt is a Smith Street Design and is machine appliqued. Actually you could make it without an embroidery machine as the templates for all of the appliques are included in the pattern. It is called Roses in Bloom.
    All of you are so generous with your compliments...what a wonderful group of quilters!

    Amazing job it is beautiful. I do not do applique but I love to see what other people do. Maybe one day I will try it.

    It's really hard to believe this is your first quilt. It's stunning and so very cheerful. I can't wait to see the next one. The quilting enhances it without stealing attention from the applique. I hope you're hooked with your new hobby!
