    They are very cute, the upholstery fabric should make them very durable - lucky ones who are on your Christmas list!

    I made a purse with sample swatches of drapery fabric. It was so fun because I could easily find several pieces that went together very well. But the purse turned out to be quite heavy because of the heavier fabric. Upholstery fabric would be much heavier.

    Yes it is the pinafore pattern, I've used some drapery fabric also in making these.

    I have use lighter weight upholstery fabric. no stiffing required with these fabrics and use a very thin material for the linning.

    Thanks every one for the thumbs on these purses . I'm having loads of fun going through all my boxes of fabric. I haven't found them to be to heavy with the types I'm using.
