I just love your quilt and your quilting! I have seen photos of this pattern but thank you for the link. I also have been saving Christmas fabrics, wondering just what to make, or what quilt pattern to use. This may be it, so thanks for the inspiration. My sister made a large pinwheel with christmas fabrics and stripped around each block, I thought it was pretty too. One day I will make mine but for now I have others I want to do. Tell me, have you or anyone made the window pane quilt with the large picture 'window' in a panel? I was wondering what width to cut my strips for the panes...... If you have an idea please let me know. I suppose I could just do trial and error, but I don't like to waste my fabric and someone here probably has made one before.

Thanks for the compliments! Another good pattern for layer cakes where you want to show off the fabric
is called “Quatrefoil” and it’s a Jenny Doan from MSQC tutorial. I’ve done one, and my friend did hers in Christmas fabric and they both really showcase the fabric.
sorry, I’ve never done the windowpane type of quilt, but there are many patterns and tutorials out there. Try Pinterest or Google!

Your quilt is lovely - and an inspiration. I wonder if I could get one done before Christmas this year ;o) Thanks so much for the link and your tips.
