All of you Christmas gifts are beautiful, including the two wonderful quilts in your other post. I would be thrilled to receive any thing that you made.
Please ask someone there with you to bring your sewing machine upstairs so that you can sew while you recouperate. How come we women do everything we can to make everyone else comfortable, and yet it seems as though we can't bring ourselves to ask for help? You could do a lot of sewing in 6 weeks!!!!!. Speedy Recovery!!!

Beautiful work. I love your mantle scarf. Hope your foot surgery goes well, maybe you can get someone to bring you the sewing machine, or if you get down stairs, maybe before your surgery set your sewing area up so you can do all your work sitting down. bring your ironing board within a tri-angle of your machine and lower it so you can sit, also a portable table nearby to do some cutting. I was able to sew a couple days after knee surgery cause I set it up to not have to get up to cut or press. And since I couldn't stand to cook or clean, I got to sit at the sewing machine a lot!!!

Thanks ladies, glad you liked them. The recipients all did also!
Our last family left at 6am this morning. I have already begun on the laundry. Soon as I get my Xmas things all stored I plan to cut out at least 2 quilts before my surgery. I probably won't have my machine brought upstairs; we have a walk out basement so as long as it isn't icy or too much snow I probably can get to my machine. I like to go into my "cave" and work all alone - I get much more done that way. Also, I can do laundry at same time (don't let DH do any of my clothes!!)
