Here are some pictures of the Christmas Socks for Soldiers and the pattern. Directions, Address for where to send the Socks, etc. can be found under the BLOCK OF THE MONTH thread

Thanks all for participating if you can. The socks go together really quick and are very easy to make. They want the socks uniform in size. I have put the pattern on top of an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of white paper so you have some idea of the size we are needing to make. I have indicated the sock dimensions on the pattern but didn't get the measurement from the toe to the heel.... that measurement is 9 1/4 " at the widest part.

Sock is 6" across top, 13" from top to bottom and 9 1/4" from toe to heel

    Bump:
Rein suggested I make sure and let everyone know that the Christmas Sock program for the military that I posted about a few days ago is for 2009...it's the same project we did in 2008 and Rein was astute enough to realize that with all the 2008 info on the thread that the new folks on the board may not realize the Christmas Socks for soldiers in Afganistan and Iraq is happening again this year. Thank you, Rein, for the clarifying suggestion.

God will bless you mightily! I have many cut out already and I make them for Seniors in our county. I work on them all through the year especially if I'm not working on any special projects for someone else.

    I thank you!
