    Default Christmas table runner

I was working on a Christmas quilt and miscue a few dozen half square triangles . After buying some more fabric, I put the miscut pieces aside while I continued with the quilt (which still isn't done BTW). I finally decided to make a table runner with them, and here is the result. I did limited quilting, just some stitch in the ditch for the colored triangles using red SoFine thread with silver metallic Yenmet thread in thenhalf-circles and the piano key border. Too bad the pictures don't show the shiny metallic thead better - it is very sparkly! It did take a bit of fiddling to get the tension correct on my Sweet 16 with the metallic thread, but it was worth it.

You did a great job with your miscuts. Love the runner.

Very nice. A great way to save the day and not feel as if you have wasted a bunch of fabric.
