I just got my magazine and looked at the item in it. Your topper is so much better looking than the one in the magazine. It's your choice of colors that make it come alive.
One thing that I should point out to all of you that have been asking about the pattern----------it specifically says 'PROJECT RATING: CHALLENGING'. That leaves me out. :roll:

I used to have that candy cane fabric so I know as good as it looks in the picture, it's even better in person. If you made it for you, enjoy using it. If it's a gift, lucky recipient.

Thank you all sooo much...you really know how to make a gal feel good!!! I guess the fabs make it look so different than the one in the book. It really didn't appeal to me either. I was trying to duplicate the candy cane stripes with the red and white stripe sections. Honestly the pattern was not that challenging. if you can make log cabin you can do this. The directions are harder to understand than actually sewing them., and there is a mistake in the directions, or maybe a typo.
