The baggie you see holds my Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks. The one on top may be a Jacob's Ladder - but it's called "Railroad" in the Farmer's Wife book. I belong to a club that meets once a month for tips, tricks, and to share our blocks. In September I showed up with 24 blocks. October - 12 blocks. November and December 1 block each time. Guess that's still progress!

I love the snowman one, too. It went to my daughter. I used the same fabric to make another long runner and a couple of octagonal toppers as well. I've been making these like a crazy woman!

I teach 4th and 5th graders and that presents its own challenges. (My guitar class has almost 70 children in it!) But after a day of zipping zippers, snapping snaps, buckling buckles, and tying shoes ... I'm glad to be back with me "big" kids!

Proof that simple patterns sometimes are perfect patterns. Very nice.

What a great idea. I have a special neighbor who brought me hosta plants when she divided this spring (I just moved into this house) and I didn't even know her. Think I will whip up one with flower fabric and give it to her with a plate of cookies. Simple is often best!
