Default Christmas Tree Skirt for June wedding shower

I have a wonderful nephew who is getting married. He likes homemade things. So I tried this pattern by Marilyn Doheny called Blazing Fingers, only used a 10 degree wedge instead of 9 degree. The present is the one pictured by itself. The second one is the reverse of the wedges and not sure if this will become a skirt or will applique a center circle for a table topper. My wonderful LAer is working me in so I can get this to the East Coast by June 1.
