    What a fun quilt! Good idea. I also prefer hand stitching the final border though on large quilts it's very time consuming.

    Darling little quilt. I too prefer the looks of hand sewn bindings. That is how I do all of mine.

    Thanks! I've never seen that method before. Interesting--I love the trim color idea. The part I didn't like on how I did it was the line it left on the back--it wasn't consistent all the way around--narrow areas and wide. Not good enough! I found going slow enough to catch the binding and sewing it over the first seam was tedious. So, I like how this method has one follow the seam--and stitch in the ditch. That has to make things more consistent.

    This is the method I used--and I'm sure if I practiced it'd get better. My corners were terrific! lol
