Default Civil War Legacy quilt

I finished this quilt last night from Carol Hopkin's book "Civil War Legacies." I made the quilt larger than in the pattern which meant I had to do all the calculations for the red section by hand (that was a pain). The entire quilt is hand quilted with the exception of the stitch in the ditch around the fussy cut border. I have to admit, I made this quilt for me - no one else. Part of the fabric in the squares are scraps. I started the hand quilting right before Christmas and finished it on Monday. Quilting on the border caused me some problems as the backing fabric was somewhat stretchy. I'm pretty happy with it. Enjoy!

Beautiful, I love how your sashing adds movement to the top.
