Civil War reproduction top done, how to quilt it?

LOVE your tumbler charm quilt! So very colourful and cozy looking. Would you mind telling us about the size of the single tumbler block?
Sorry, I have no real recommandation for the quilting. What I did was to quilt every other block 1/4 " inside the seams, but maybe I wouldn't do it again.
Again, it is wonderful quilt, thank you for showing,

Wonderful quilt. It does look from the civil war era. stitch in the ditch, with a shape in each tumbler, like a heart or such, would look good. Don't know anything about hand quilting, maybe that is too much. What kind of batting are you going to use, that will say on it how close you need to quilt it.

Bonnie Hunter does Baptist Fans alot and she does them freehand. I can't remember if I saw her write about it on Quiltville or her blog but she definitely described and took photos of how she goes about it and made it look very doable. I think it would be very pretty done in BF's!
