    I love civil war fabric and am jealous you got so many nice pieces. The quilt is great and make sure you show us a picture when it it done

    I just quilted one just like this at Christmas for a friend. She did hers all in scrappy prints with black backgrounds and the white snowballs. I did the white snowballs with a tight meander, and the rest of the quilt a looser meander, and it was beautiful if I don't mind saying so myself. I have a ton of CW fabrics, and will do one like this myself, if and why I finish the stack of patterns I have set aside to do first. lol...
