I've made a hunters star and can't find one in your quilt - it looks like an antique oriental rug and is stunningly gorgeous!

The difficulty in seeing the pattern is partly related to the pattern in the orange & green fabrics. Very same pattern, much orange in the green so where the touch they also seem to blend. Each focus square has four single trapezoids with the diamond on each end sewn on each side, making a bigger square. Then when sewn together the star appears. And some of the star sections are sewn to green so I could work it into the border. I have a lot of time on my hands and hand sewing is how I occupy myself. The pattern I use is a program called Inklingo. It allows me to plan my projects then print the cutting and sewing lines on the back of the fabric with my computer printer. I had never hand sewn anything before 2+ years ago and now I finished this. Not my first finish. I am amazed that Inklingo can help me make Quilts that look like this by hand sewing.
