I'd love to use it for a genealogy family tree photo quilt!

Here is the word fabric on the black background. I think both colorways would work well with religious-themed projects too. Perhaps the black is more masculine? Not sure. I think the ecru ground is easier to read, what do you think?

Here are two other coordinates. I'm really not sure what the last one is. Reminds me vaguely of weathervanes, or old-fashioned hardware or antique keys. None of that has anything to do with clocks, though, so I'm still puzzled.

I think all of these are very appropriate for a masculine quilt; they make me think of a watch or pocket watch. Imagine them in a churn dash or square-in-a-square on point, maybe with black or brown sashing between and ivory cornerstones.

It's usually much easier to pick fabrics for a female quilt, because there are so many flowers, ribbons, and such. I've seen several requests on this board for a male pattern or fabrics, and these would definitely fit the bill.

That last fabric looks like the pointed end of a minute hand on a Grandfather's clock!...I think

Wow, those are really nice. One of our friends designed his van with clock themed items and calls it Tick Tock. I could do pillowcases, curtains and a quilt top with those fabrics!

Love it! I would make a D9P, use the fabric with the words for border, the red for a small inner border and binding.

Would also be nice in an I-spy quilt or a signature quilt for a family reunion.

Gotta get me some of that!

You're right! I would have never made that connection. Though the hint was there all along, in the fabrics with the clock faces.

Another case of looking, and not seeing... thanks!
