    Sorry to hear that, I have something simuliar i wash my flannel quilt after quilting and one block the seams SPLIT open now i have to try and fix. errrrrrrrrrrrrrr it is a gift. OUCH.

    I'm glad you were able to "fix" it. It's a very pretty quilt and you did a great job on the quilting and the "repair"

    Bev - it was the pits of the tummy feeling!

    Ruth, yes, lucky, cos the needle snapped in half too.

    Renee - has the seam stitching come undone, or fabric split? You should be okay if it's the seam. If it's a fabric tearaway from the stitching, could you lightly catch it together and embroider something fancy over the top & make a feature?

    Katrine looks like that turned into a happy accident because you have made a great job of the tear.

    I can just imagine how you felt after all that work.
