    These are the close ups I said I would post. It is basically a glorified Texas star. The large diamond is composed of three birds and four triangles (same sized triangle). The fill in square is compose of two half square triangles. One is split into two birds and three triangles that are the same size of the ones in the large diamond.

    Starch or sizing is your friend in this quilt because of the edges of more than half of the pieces being off grain.

    One quarter of this quilt makes a great wallhanging.

    The diamond on the outside is the same as the center diamonds

    Wow, what a terrific job!!! I saw the same bird fabric and wondered what I could do with it. In the end, I thought it would be too much trouble to figure it out so I didn't purchase it. :( Now I wish I had.
