Wow!!! Beautiful quilt. Sorry I can't help with the quilting. I'm having trouble with what to quilt my top with and I'm not even done with the top.

Deb-the quilting is my downfall-no suggestions here--but I wanted to say how beautiful your quilt came out.

I've always heard - the rule of thumb...is if your pattern has lots of angles - (like your squares) then use something with curves to soften the angles.

The "in" thing today is feathers.

You could use feathers in the black areas with black thread...or do the feathers in the and follow the angles of colors.

I agree it depends on the use. AND most definately what YOU want.

But I truly think you need to send it to me - (lol jk) but it is beautiful

WOW!!!!!! soooo dramatic!!! it has so much motion and movement going on. I would quilt it showing lines of movement as well.. clear as mud??? Not sure how to describe it but there is so much movement in the quilt with the intertwining of colours, you should quilt it the same kind of idea.....

I think something like that is a great idea... lots of movement and motion going on and nice soft curves!! I think this is what I was getting at only I was stunned enough to not read the entire thread before I posted LOL

I have always heard that if you have strong rectangular blocks that the quilting should be rounded and flowing. I would love to see some feathers in color coordinated thread in the dark blocks.. The round feathers will set off the angular color strips.

Whatever you choose, it will be beautiful.

Absolutely stunning. I love the color gradations with the black background.
I also like Klue's questions about quilt use :) Usage should tell you what your next step will be.
