    I cut rectangles out of newspaper. Next, I drew lines towards the center point and sewed fabric on the lines starting at one side or point. I tried to space the lines fairly evenly. But hey, it is a scrappy quilt, so it doesn't have to match... Right??? The overall effect is what matters. As you progress outward continue to draw lines on the rectangles that are pointed to the center point. BTW, in looking at the picture of the Color Wheel quilt I saw two rectangles that are upside down. :-(((

    I am always amazed at the ways our eyes see a quilt and a picture of the same quilt. I have started taking photos before sewing all the blocks together and before adding borders. I have caught a few mistakes and been able to fix them that way.

    What an amazing quilt! I admire your ability to keep the fabrics all in the right places. It must have taken a lot of planing to get all the right fabrics to go together so beautifully!
